Objectives

Initiatives seeking to develop evidence-based S&T innovation policy are gaining momentum in the world. Since S&T innovation are complicated and highly uncertain processes, “scientific” approaches necessary for formulating appropriate policies are required. Here, structured data infrastructure is drawing attention as a highly effective means of achieving this kind of evidence-based policymaking.

This international conference will focus primarily on attempts to build data infrastructure for evidence-based policy concerning S&T innovation and related areas. Through discussion and comparison of several approaches, the conference will extract practical insights and a clearer picture of future initiatives in this area.
